The oldest boat club on the Ohio
Cincinnati's harbor
since 1898.
2,500 feet of dock. Fifty boats. Same bend in the river since 1898. Members run it, so a slip costs a fraction of a marina.

Answers, before you call.
Everything members get asked most. Anything missing, call Capt. Gavin at 513-658-6033.
Do I have to own a boat to join?
No. A Club Membership is $250 a year plus a $250 one-time fee the first year, and it opens the whole harbor: the club boat, every social event, and optional kayak or paddleboard storage. Plenty of members have no boat at all.
Is there a waiting list?
Not usually. Slips are assigned by availability and boat size, so call and ask what is open for your length. Kayak racks and trailer storage do fill up, so those are worth asking about early.
What does a slip actually cost for the season?
$54 per billable foot for 2026. Billable length is your boat plus a dock allowance: 6 feet under 26 feet of boat, 10 feet over. A 32-foot boat bills at 42 feet, so $2,268 for the season. The estimator at the top of this page does the math for your length.
What is the $600 in notes, and do I get it back?
Yes, you get it back. Boat slip members buy $600 in ownership notes, $300 in the first year and $300 in the second. It is refunded when you leave. The notes are what make you an owner rather than a renter: they carry a vote on club matters and make you eligible to serve as Trustee.
What is included with a slip?
Electric and water at the slip, 24/7/365 harbor access, restrooms, showers, grills, ice, parking for 60-plus cars, and high-water rigging handled by the harbor crew. An 8-foot minimum applies to summer docks.
What happens when the river comes up?
The harbor is rigged for it and always has been. The docks float, and the crew handles the rigging. The club has been on this bend since 1898, through the flood of 1937 and every rise since.
Can I tie up for just a night?
Yes, space permitting. $35 a night, $150 a week, $400 a month, including electric, water, ice and grills. Holiday rate is $50 a night on July 3rd and 4th and Friday through Monday of Labor Day weekend. Call ahead: 513-658-6033.
Where do I store a kayak or paddleboard?
Three tiers, all for the summer season: Silver from $250 on the marina barge, Gold from $350 directly on the docks, Platinum from $432 for a dedicated float of your own. Every tier includes the launch chute, a locker, and full club facilities. Trailer storage is $100 while space lasts.
How long does joining take?
There is no committee and no interview. Call Capt. Gavin, come walk the docks, pick a membership, pay your dues, and you can use the harbor that day.
Where exactly is the club?
Ohio River mile marker 466 on the Cincinnati side, at 100 Strader Ave in the historic East End. Coordinates N 39.114737, W 84.445674. Restaurants, bars and the bike trail are walkable from the land entrance.
